Back to the Boat

Finally, after way too much time off, I'm on my way back to work...
Just in time, too - I'm out of money and things to do (which was clear, I think, from my last post)

My journey to work starts with a 15 minute walk into town to catch the water taxi over to Belize City....

An hour and a half on the water taxi...

And then a 20 minute cab ride to the marina in Old Belize... which I don't have a picture of because I haven't gotten that far yet - I'm still on the water taxi.
(God bless wifi)

I'm always nervous to go back to work after having so much time off.. I worry that I've forgotten everything that I've learned and I start to get a little panicky...

Blah.
Anyway.

Here's a random picture of Mama and Poquito holding hands.
I'm gonna miss those lil buggers while I'm gone.

  1. Hello

We’re a class of 6 and 7 year olds in Norfolk, UK, and found your blog while looking for blogs from all the different continents of the world.

Our topic for this term is adventurers and explorers. We’re trying to get as many visits to our blog as possible from different parts of the world, and would love a visit from Belize if you have the time. Our blog is at http://lpsmrslater2013.primaryblogger.co.uk

We would be particularly interested in any really cool places in Belize that you could recommend for us to explore online and find information about.

  2. Hello

Many thanks for your visit and comment on our blog. We'll definitely be taking a look at some of the interesting sights you mentioned in Belize.

    Thanks again,

PS from Mr Slater (Year 2's class teacher) - I notice that you have lived in Bucks County, PA. I'm probably applying an English viewpoint about counties (as ours are all relatively close to each other on our small island), and they're probably much farther apart than I imagine, but I went to summer camp over in the USA for four summers in the 1990s and 2000s in Wayne County, PA (upper east corner of the state, rather than lower east like Bucks County), near Honesdale. A really lovely part of the world, up in the Poconos, which I really enjoyed spending time in.
